Laramie County Community College will host the sixth annual International Africa MAAFA Remembrance Day from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 7, at the Center for Conferences and Institutes.
Conference topics will include presentations on visiting, traveling and understanding United States and Havana-Cuba relations. There will also be a screening of “Color Code Memories,” a film on Cuban life in Havana and Santiago de Cuba, directed and produced by William S. O’Reilly. History professor Mary Ludwig and James Peebles from Sankofa Institute will be present at this event.
