Incident report
Campus Safety completed an incident report in which an individual reported having found scratch marks on their vehicle which had been parked in Lot M on April 19.

Fire alarm
A student left an electric skillet plugged into electricity in his residence hall room. The fire alarm was activated. The residence was inspected by Campus Safety officers and RA’s. There was no reported damage and the office reset the alarm.

 

April 23
Suspicious activity
A female representing herself as a member of a church in Los Angeles, California reported an inappropriate/suspicious comment had been placed on the church’s Facebook page. She reported that it had been posted by an LCCC student. Upon review of Colleague, the subject alleged to have made the post is no longer a student at LCCC. A review of the church’s Facebook page revealed no mention of the church or any of the supposed suspicious posts. The complainant stated that she had filed a report with the Los Angeles Police Department. A Campus Safety officer made Laramie County Dispatch aware of the complaint and LCSD advised that the report would be the sole disposition of Los Angeles Police Department.

Unsupervised animal
Campus Safety and Animal Control responded to a complaint of an unsupervised dog being aggressive toward pedestrians and motor vehicles in Parking Lot C. Animal control took custody of the dog and returned it to its owner.

Medical assistance
Campus Safety received a request for medical assistance in the Agriculture building. Campus Safety officers, Fire District 1, and American Medical Response personnel responded to assist.

A student reported losing a wallet and its contents. Location of loss unknown. Campus Safety completed an incident report.

Campus Safety completed an incident report pertaining to an injury reportedly sustained by an individual while in the Andrikopoulos Business and Technology Building. No medical assistance was required.

Campus Safety completed an incident report pertaining to a traffic complaint in Parking Lot G.

Campus Safety completed an incident report pertaining to an injury reportedly sustained in the driveway of the Print Shop in the Fine Arts building. The injury reportedly occurred on April 18 but was not immediately reported to Campus Safety.

Found property
A custodian found a student’s credit cards, debit cards, and driver’s license in the Business building. Campus Safety contacted the student and he advised that he will pick up his property from Campus Safety on May 5. The property was stored in the lost and found locker until the student could take possession of it.

Incident report
An individual who was riding their bicycle east of the Arena reported falling off the bike, causing abrasions. The individual self-treated and declined additional medical assistance. Campus Safety completed an incident report.

Fallen sign
While on patrol, a Campus Safety Officer observed a weighted based handicap parking sign toppled over in Parking Lot I. Physical Plant was notified.

Path obstruction
Campus Safety received a report of a large tree limb which had fallen and was blocking the Greenway Trail near the pond. Physical Plant was notified.

While on patrol, a Campus Safety Officer observed a “No Parking” sign knocked down and broken at its post’s base. This was in Parking Lot E. Physical Plant was notified.

Fire alarm
Fire alarm activation in Eagle Village. This activation was determined to have been the result of an individual striking a portion of the fire alarm apparatus.

Nearly fallen tree
A Campus Safety patrol officer reported to Grounds staff that there was a tree adjacent to Parking Lot K that was leaning and could possibly fall. Grounds staff followed-up.

Campus Safety assisted Residence Life in performing a welfare check on a student residing in Eagle Village.

Campus Safety completed an incident report pertaining to an individual who reportedly sustained injury at the College Community Center. Medical assistance from American Medical Response was declined. Campus Safety provided minor first aid.

Campus Safety completed an incident report pertaining to a single-motor-vehicle accident near the Agriculture building. No injuries were reported.

A student reported a hubcap missing from her vehicle. The vehicle was parked at the Auto Tech building. The location at which the hubcap went missing is unknown.

Campus Safety officers observed two suspicious pedestrians on campus at 4:35 a.m. in the vicinity of the Recreation and Athletics Complex. Laramie County Sheriff’s deputies directed the individuals to leave campus.

A Campus Safety Officer, while on routine patrol, noticed standing water in the Flex-Tech building. Physical Plant was notified to follow-up.

A visitor to campus accidentally activated an elevator entrapment alarm in the West residence hall. Campus Safety responded, verified the situation, and completed an incident report.

Campus Safety completed a traffic accident report pertaining to a one-vehicle traffic accident without injuries. The accident occurred on the roadway north of the Agriculture building and Animal Science Lab.

Campus Safety patrol discovered a dead steer at the Agriculture building. Barn Manager notified.

Fire alarm
Campus Safety and Fire District 1 responded to the residence hall concerning a fire alarm. It was found that an occupant had accidentally activated the alarm by cooking in violation of campus policy.

Lost property
United States Air Force reported a missing radio reportedly lost on campus during preparation for the Thunderbirds air show. Campus Safety investigating.

Unauthorized individual
An unauthorized individual was observed on top of the Center for Conferences and Institutes. Campus Safety investigated.

Campus Safety assisted Residence Life staff and the Laramie County Sheriff’s Office with a complaint of violation of alcohol and drug policies in the Commons Outdoor Courtyard of the Residence Hall.

Campus Safety investigated a theft of items from an unlocked office in the Career and Technical building. The complainant declined law enforcement involvement.

Found property
Campus Safety took possession of a cell phone which was found at Plant Maintenance. It was placed in the lost/found locker until the owner can be contacted.

Erratic driving report
Campus Safety investigated a complaint concerning a report of a vehicle driving erratically in Parking Lots B, C, and L.

Fire alarm
Campus Safety investigated a fire alarm at the Residence Hall. It was found to have been activated by an occupant over cooking food in a microwave. There was no damage.

Campus Safety completed an incident report pertaining to a report of injury sustained by a staff member at the Pathfinder building.
