Suspect tied to downtown alley explosion arrested

On Sept. 20, a male suspect, 16, was arrested on suspicion of possession of explosives. The suspect is related to an explosive device that went off in a downtown alley in Cheyenne on Sept. 18. Nobody was injured in the explosion.

The suspect was interviewed by the Cheyenne Police Department and a search warrant was served at his residence to find evidence related to the manufacturing and possession of explosives. The case is still under investigation, but the CPD does not believe there is any continued threat to the public with this case.
