State Troopers seize 197 lbs of marijuana

Approximately 197 pounds of marijuana was seized Sept. 30 on Interstate 80 eastbound by Wyoming State Troopers.

The seizure took place nine miles west of Cheyenne. A 2011 Dodge pickup pulling a horse trailer was pulled over by state troopers for not having visible registration. A highway patrol K-9 drug unit was brought in during the stop and alerted the authorities of marijuana in the trailer.

It was determined that Larry Gibson was transporting the marijuana from Eureka, California to Muscle Shoals, Alabama. Gibson was arrested and charged with felony possession of a controlled substance and felony intent to deliver a controlled substance. The street value of the marijuana was estimated at $394,000.

Tyler is enrolled at LCCC and will receive a degree in Mass Media in the spring of 2018. He plans on furthering his education and receiving a sports broadcasting degree once he is done at LCCC.
