CAMPUS SAFETY INCIDENT REPORTS October 2, 2017 – October 23, 2017

Oct. 2

Stolen items

A student reported items taken from her vehicle.  The location of the incident is undetermined. It was a delayed report to Campus Safety, having originally occurred on Sept.29. The vehicle had been parked at both the Pathfinder building parking lot and at the student’s off-campus residence. The Laramie County Sheriff’s Office is investigating.

Oct. 2

Incident report

A student was bucked off of a horse at the Arena. The student denied being injury and declined medical assistance. Campus Safety completed an incident report.

Oct. 5

Lost item

Campus Safety found a cell phone in the student hub area of the Pathfinder building. On Oct. 6, Campus Safety was able to identify the owner of the phone and return it to them.

Incident report

Campus Safety responded to the Arena for a medical call. An incident report was completed.

Lost item

A custodian found a cell phone in the Business building. He turned it in to Campus Safety, who was able to identify and contact the owner. The property was returned to its owner on Oct. 6.

Oct. 9

Incident report

Campus Safety completed an incident report pertaining to a medical injury which reportedly occurred at the Plant Maintenance area of campus.

Lost item

A faculty member found a ring in the Business building. It was placed in lost/found until its owner can be determined.

Oct. 15

Lost item

A custodian found a ring in the Fine Arts building. It was turned in to Campus Safety and placed in lost/found until its owner can be determined.

Oct. 17

Incident report

Campus Safety completed a medical incident report at the Albany County Campus pertaining to an incident which occurred on Oct. 16 after having received a delayed report on Oct 17. The incident occurred in the student services office at the Albany County Campus.

Campus Safety completed a medical incident report concerning an incident which occurred at the Fine Arts building. Fire District 1 and American Medical response also responded to assist.

Lost item

A staff member found a wallet and its contents in the Education and Enrichment Center. It was turned in to Campus Safety who located the owner and returned the property.

Oct. 19

Policy violation

Campus Safety and the Laramie County Sheriff’s Office assisted Residence Life staff with a violation of policy in the Residence Hall.

I began my journey in the world of Mass Media in the spring semester of 2017 and have been completely obsessed with it ever since. Starting out as a Managing Editor for Wingspan, I was able to dive into journalism and found a passion in writing. My overall plan is to leave Laramie County Community College with invaluable experience and enroll at Black Hills State University in Spearfish, South Dakota. I hope to graduate with a bachelor in Mass Communications. In regards to my future profession and area of emphasis I am still in the deciding stages. I hope with the continuation of my studies I will stumble upon what I am meant to do in the amazing-chaotic life of a journalist.
