St. Marks Episcopal Church to host LCCC’s faculty recital

Laramie County Community College’s faculty and students will perform a recital on Nov. 19 at 3 p.m. at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church.

The literature in the recital will be personally handpicked by its performers.  According to Beth Kean, a vocal music instructor at LCCC, many performers work on three to 10 pieces and then decide which one they’d like to perform.

Audience members can expect to see performances from vocalists, pianists, dancers and more.

Vocalist include June Bowser, Beth Smith, Maureen Boddicker, Stewart Cramer and pianist Iris Zhang.

Zhang is working on her doctoral recital, which she will perform on Nov. 13. One of her favorite things about performing is being by herself on stage.

According to Kean, performance pieces are expected to vary from light classical pieces to nice concert pieces.

This event is free and open to the public.
