Reckless driving

Campus Safety documented a case of reckless driving in Parking Lot M.

Injury

A staff member reported having sustained an injury (unknown location on campus).

Policy violation

Campus Safety and deputies from Laramie County Sheriff’s Office assisted residence life staff with a policy violation at the residence hall involving illegal possession of alcohol.

 

Oct. 24

Lost item

A custodian found a cell phone in the Fine Arts building. It was placed in the lost/found locker until its owner could be identified and the property returned. Oct. 25, Campus Safety identified and contacted the owner. The property was returned to its owner intact.

Incident report

Campus Safety completed an incident report about a possible injury at the field north of North Plant. American Medical Response and Fire District 1 personnel also responded.

Campus Safety completed an incident report pertaining to an injury reportedly sustained in the Arena.

Lost item

A faculty member found a purse in the Health Sciences Building. Campus Safety was able to contact its owner and return the property intact.

Substances complaint

Residence Life staff, Campus Safety, and deputies from the Laramie County Sheriff’s Office investigated a complaint pertaining to the possibility of controlled substances in the residence hall.

Campus Safety completed an incident report pertaining to a noise complaint in the CCC.

Lost item

An Albany County Campus Safety officer found a knife in the lobby of ACC. He placed it in the departmental lost and found.

Lost item

A Campus Safety officer found a wallet and its contents in the Pathfinder building. The property has been stored in the lost/found locker until its owner can be contacted.

Personal property missing

A student reported that there was personal property missing from their room in the West Residence Hall. Residence Life and Laramie County Sheriff’s Office are investigating.

Vehicle damage

An individual parked their unoccupied vehicle in Parking Lot B. Upon returning to their vehicle, they found that another vehicle had damaged it and left the scene. The Laramie County Sheriff’s Office is investigating.

Animal control

An animal control officer responded to campus in reference to two dogs running loose on J.O. Reed Way north of the Pathfinder building. The officer secured the animals and returned them to their owner.

Privacy concern

Campus Safety assisted residence life staff with a concern about policy violation at the residence hall.

Loose horses

Campus Safety assisted in securing two horses that were seen running loose on campus in the area of Flex Tech. They were corralled and secured at the Arena.

Medical emergency

Campus Safety, American Medical Response, and Laramie County Fire District 1 EMT’s responded to the Science Center for a request for medical assistance.

Campus Safety assisted a staff member with a lock concern at the Center and Technical building.

Campus Safety completed an incident report pertaining to a possible injury sustained at the Agriculture building.

 

Nov. 8

Vehicle damage

A witness filed a report pertaining to a vehicle backing into a parked/unoccupied vehicle causing damage. The occupied vehicle left the scene of the accident, and the Laramie County Sheriff’s Office is investigating. The vehicles were in Parking Lot N, and the case was solved by Campus Safety and Residence Life on Nov. 9. The Laramie County Sheriff’s Office was briefed and their case closed.
