The National Council for Marketing and Public Relations awarded Laramie County Community College’s public relations office the Medallion Awards. The Medallion Awards are a set of marketing awards. Two-year colleges in Texas, Colorado, Oklahoma, Arkansas, New Mexico and Wyoming earned marketing awards.
In the categories of magazines, LCCC’s publication The Talon won the Gold Award for original photography in manipulated and unmanipulated photos. The LCCC recruitment microsite won second place, and promotional mailing for student ambassadors won third place.
In this past year, NCMPR nominated LCCC for two Paragon Awards. In Wyoming, LCCC is the only school that has been nominated for these awards. The awards represent the best in marketing and public relations from more than 650 colleges across America.
At the recent annual convention, the Wyoming Press Association awarded three awards to LCCC. Many statewide agencies and organizations, as well as the college, competed with the University of Wyoming as a part of the associates arm of the WPA.
LCCC’s public relations won first place in both the publications category for The Talon and internally developed advertising.
They also won third place for feature photo category.
