Women’s soccer snag win, get weekend off

The Laramie County Community Colleges women’s soccer team was in action Sept. 22 and  took a victory over Sheridan College.


LCCC snuck by with the 1-0 victory at home against the Generals. They were led by sophomore Noemi Amaro, who scored the only goal and was assisted by sophomore Taylor Stoeger. Sophomore goalie Ellie Bowman had four saves that helped the Golden Eagles with the shut out.


The Golden Eagles are in first place in the Region IX North Division with an overall record of 6-4 and a conference mark of 4-0. The Golden Eagles are ranked 18th in the nation as of Sept. 18. They’re off this weekend before hosting Northwest College Oct. 3 at 4 p.m.
