Rodeo team competes in Riverton, travel to Lamar College

Houston Brown led the way for the Laramie County Community College men’s rodeo team at the Central Wyoming College rodeo in Riverton the weekend of Sept. 28-30.


The men’s team took fourth with 290 points, led by Brown, who took second in the tie-down roping with a time of 19.8 seconds. Chase Miller took fourth in the tie-down roping with a time of 20.3 seconds.  The men currently sit in sixth place for the season in the Central Rocky Mountain Region standings.


The women’s team took ninth with a total score of 13.33 points. They were led by sophomore Caydee Johnson, who took second in the all-around with 120 points. Johnson also took fifth in the goat tying with a total time of 16.4 seconds.


The rodeo team travels to Lamar, Colorado, this weekend to compete in the Lamar College rodeo.
