The Laramie County Community College women’s soccer team took a 6-0 win against Northwest College on Saturday, Oct 6.
The Golden Eagles took the early lead on a goal by Katie Loken in the eighth minute. The second Golden Eagles goal came in the 26th minute by Alexi Hobbs. The Golden Eagles extended the lead on the third goal by Shaney McCabe in the 28th minute. The fourth goal was also scored by McCabe for her second of the match in the 31st minute. Thalite Portela Fari scored the 5th goal in the 33rd minute to give the Golden Eagles a 5-0 lead at halftime.
In the second half, the Eagles defense continued to play tight and kept Northwest College scoreless. The final goal of the match was scored by Annie Rolf in the 88th minute.
Goalkeeper Ellie Bowman did not have to make a save the entire match.
The Eagles had 32 shots on goal to none from Northwest.
The Golden Eagles will take on Gillette College at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 10, in Gillette.
The Golden Eagles are in first place in Region IX standings with a 6-0 conference record and an overall record of 8-4.
