HUTCHINSON, Kansas — The Laramie County Community College volleyball team opened the NJCAA national tournament with a 3-0 loss to second-seeded College of Southern Idaho on Thursday, Nov. 15.
The Golden Eagles lost the match 13-25, 14-25, 18-25 as LCCC’s big hitters were kept at bay. Sophomore Kylie Martin notched four kills while Avery Nelson added four kills of her own. Kasandra Sturges tallied 11 assists for the Golden Eagles.
LCCC still has a chance to make an impact in the tournament with a chance to play for ninth-place. They start in the ninth-place bracket against New Mexico Military Institute at 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 16.
